Prospect High School, in Arlington Heights-based Township High School District 214, is one of 20 schools in Illinois to be recognized as a National Blue Ribbon School this year by the federal government. The honor was announced in a news release Sept. 19 by the U.S. Department of Education, and the SD214 superintendent immediately expressed how 'thrilled' he was for the school to receive the accolade. 'This prestigious honor reflects the dedication of our outstanding educators, the hard work of our students, and the support of our community,' Superintendent Scott Rowe said in a statement emailed to Pioneer Press.
