Plans to add hundreds of new luxury apartments in Wauwatosa's Mayfair Collection advanced Thursday with approval from the city's design review board. Known as the Foundry at Mayfair Collection, the new apartments would be north of the existing Synergy apartments. The developers are planning more than 700 market-rate apartment units in the Foundry development across several buildings built over multiple phases. Among other design details, a "Foundry" sign on one of the buildings would reuse letters from the "Roundy's Foods" sign from the site's former Roundy's Supermarkets warehouse, plans show.
